Mamardashvili: “Thank you to Valencia CF because it has been key in my career as a goalkeeper”
The Georgian goalkeeper said goodbye to Mestalla on an emotional afternoon
The goalkeeping position was undoubtedly one of the main focuses of this final match at the Camp de Mestalla this season, with a double farewell to Jaume Domènech and Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Georgian goalkeeper expressed his gratitude to Mestalla and Valencia in this farewell.
An Emotional Night
A very emotional night for me. These have been four incredible years here in Valencia, with a lot of hard work, many good days, and some bad ones too. But what really matters are these four years for my career. I want to thank all the people who work at the club and all the teammates I’ve had.
The Ovation from Mestalla
It’s very emotional. It’s the summary of my work over these four years. Honestly, when I arrived, I couldn’t have dreamed that a day like today would come. Valencia made my career as a goalkeeper. I’m very proud to have defended this badge.
Thanks to Teammates and to Jaume Domènech
I want to wish all my teammates the best of luck for the difficult moments ahead. And thank you to Jaume, who is a great person and a great goalkeeper. He has helped me a lot over these years, and I want to wish him the best in this new chapter.
It wasn’t easy for me, but Jaume enjoys helping people, and he has supported me a lot throughout these four years in all the tough moments.
